Belly Dancing is a great way to have fun, meet new people, and discover new muscles! This class will teach dance posture, isolations, shimmies, and traveling steps all combined into a short choreography. Belly dance improves flexibility and is gentle on the knees and ankles making it appropriate for individuals of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. No previous dance experience necessary; for ages 16 and up. Ages 8 years and older may attend with a supervising adult age 21 years or over. Class is in person as well as online, with access to a private Facebook where you can review classes. Led by Aleesa Banzhoff. $80/8-weeks. No drop-ins.
What to Wear: Wear comfortable exercise clothing such as leggings, yoga pants, tank tops, or form fitting T-shirts. You do not have to bare your stomach.

Instructor Bio:
Aleesa Banzhoff, dance name Qetesh, took her first Middle Eastern Dance class in the spring of 2008 and quickly fell in love with the art form. She has studied with many teachers in the Quad-State area and attends workshops with internationally known instructors to continue to acquire new skills. Qetesh was a founding member of Troupe Asherah and danced with them from 2011-2018 at many events including festivals, conventions, and restaurants. Her style is primarily Egyptian with a Turkish flair.
