What is Harm Reduction and Harm Reduction Works?
Harm Reduction believes in the autonomy and agency of people to make their own choices.
Harm Reduction values kindness, compassion and respect, especially as people explore what works and does not work as well in their lives.
Harm Reduction practice creates an unconditional loving context to relate to others.
Harm Reduction is safe space to be vulnerable from taking risks to experience incremental advancement of trust and or connection.
Harm Reduction is a social movement rooted in the belief all of our survival
depends on building deep bonds of trust and collaboration to build power. We do not believe in leaving people behind because this belief builds power. Power is amplified by sharing ideals.
Harm Reduction Works (HRW) is open to everyone interested in learning about harm reduction for any reason.
All HRW meetings value keeping possibility of connection open with whomever shows up, regardless if a meeting is focused or not. Please self-select to be a witness to the meeting as your primary role, if a focus is on life experience different from your own.
