Being overweight and underactive puts you at risk for developing prediabetes and diabetes. The good news is….with small weekly changes you can reverse this. Meritus Medical Center is offering the Diabetes Prevention Program- (DPP) HALT Online to help you meet your goals of better health and weight loss.
This program has proven to decrease your risk of developing diabetes by over 50%…AND IT IS FREE!
In this year-long program, you will work with a trained lifestyle coach to adopt healthy lifestyle habits to help you lose weight in order to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.
Requirements of the program:
HALT allows you to interact with your coach and community in an online format.
Interacting weekly with your coach using the online tools is a necessary part of this program.
This includes weekly weight and activity tracking as well as tracking food and beverages.
Sessions may be completed at any time during the week based on your schedule.
Your Lifestyle Coach will offer you weekly tips in your personal portal and may offer Zoom meetings on a weekly basis,
as needed, for support and questions.
Classes start May 16, 2022 and run through May 2022! There is a Zoom Information session Thursday May 12 from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
FREE weekly sessions for 15 weeks followed by 2 biweekly sessions and ending with 7 monthly sessions.
