Mindfulness Strategies for Managing Caregiver Stress

Caring for a loved one is often a physically and emotionally draining experience. Stress, exhaustion and burnout are quite common. If not addressed, it can take a toll on one’s health, relationships and emotional well-being. Melissa Linn-Canas will discuss the demands of caregiving and provide some strategies to help individuals better manage the day-to-day pressures of providing care. Discussion will include incorporating mindfulness techniques, yoga, massage, and other spiritual/holistic approaches in daily practice.

Melissa also directs HOPE Counseling and Wellness, LLC where she and her team incorporate yoga, massage, spiritual care and holistic nursing in their treatment approach.
