Stepping On – Falls Prevention

Stepping On is a 6 week multifaceted falls-prevention program designed to help older adults reduce their risk for falls. The Stepping On program incorporates a group setting.
It covers a range of issues including;
- falls and risk
- strength and balance exercises
- home hazards, safe footwear, vision and falls
- safety in public places, community mobility
- coping after a fall, and understanding how to initiate a medication review.
The target group is 65 and above. Participants will receive an exercise manual and weekly handouts with tips and information. Limited to 17 participants.
This program runs for six weeks, beginning Wednesday, October 14 through Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
