'Boone' Walk & Run 5K

The 3.1 mile course starts in Shafer Memorial Park and highlights the beautiful past & present of our town - including Boonsboro Cemetery, Sycamore Run, Shafer Park Nature Trail, and a chance to glimpse the cemetery behind Trinity Reformed United Church where town founder William Boone lays at rest. 

Official timekeeping (chipped) will be provided by Overland Timing, but 'Boone'Walk & Runners are encouraged to enjoy the race at their own pace. Families, strollers, and dogs are welcome! 2018 Annapolis Out of the Darkness Walk

Suicide prevention starts with everyday heroes like you. Join us on September 22, 2018 at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium as we walk to fight suicide and raise awareness about mental health. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m.and the Opening Ceremony/Walk will start at 11:30 a.m. Be a part of the movement turning hope into action, and create a culture that’s smart about mental health. Walking for Wellness

Do you like to walk but do not have walking partners? Would you like to improve your health and wellbeing? Then these programs are for you!  These hikes are designed to introduce new hikers to the physical and mental benefits of hiking and enjoyment of nature.  Join us in a series of Appalachian Trail day hikes. We will walk to our destination using a leisurely pace, and after resting and enjoying the wonderful views, we will walk back to our departure site. 9 a.m. to noon.Hikes range from 3.7 to 6.0 miles round trip.

Bring snacks/lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, insect repellent and wear comfortable walking shoes.
