Washington County community members are invited to share their thoughts on hardship and what makes a “good life” during a pilot study being conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), with support from the Washington County Health Department and Healthy Washington County. The Fairness Dialogues Field Laboratory (FairLab) session will be Thursday, Aug. 8, from 1-5 p.m. at the downtown Hagerstown branch of the Washington County Free Library.
The FairLab group will use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® in conjunction with community dialogue to conduct the research. Opinions from the community level on who is most in need and how best to help them with limited local resources will inform academic and policy leaders.
All participants will receive a $100 gift card for their participation. Interested individuals ages 18 or older who are able to read and converse comfortably in English and able to use their hands to play with LEGO® pieces are encouraged to sign up for the 9-10 available spots. For more information or to sign up, please email alex.welna@nih.gov or call 301-451-6748.
